Daniel needed 5x7s to post on his office wall, so we took the kids to the park after work one day to try to get some. By the time we got their (he got home late) the sun was already setting, so they didn't turn out quite as I'd hoped, but we still got a couple good ones. The first two are from the sunset shoot. The 3rd is one I took of Seth several months back at a park in Utah. He didn't exactly cooperate for the sunset shoot. 2 year-olds!
Now for updates: Not much to report. Talmage is army crawling all over the place and gotten FAST. The other day he got into the cleanser under the kitchen sink and before I'd realized it (he was right under my feet while I was doing dishes) he had powder all over the floor. Now, where, oh WHERE, are my child cabinet locks we spent a fortune on when we Seth was a baby? Probably in some mysterious box. I'll either have to search for hours and get lucky or search for hours and give up and go spend another fortune on new ones! We use the TOT LOC style and they're not cheap! Talmage also figured out how to climb up the stairs, but still doesn't have great balance or judgment or know how to get back down, so hence the gate in the other post. Today Seth wanted it unlocked, supposedly to go upstairs, so I unlocked it, and he has yet to go up the stairs. Again, 2 year-olds!
Seth has been talking up a storm and we're finally getting him to pull out the binky every time he talks. It's a start. We plan on having the Binky and BaBa fairy visit the day after his 3rd birthday to make them all go bye-bye to another baby who needs them. Not sure how that will fly since Talmage still takes one, the same style, but we'll give it a shot. Maybe we'll see if we can send Talmage's away, too. Yeah, right!
Daniel continues to love work and is learning new things all the time. He can't wait, though, until he gets to the point where he rarely asks how the other doctors would have handled the patient.
The weather is still crazy. Mostly mid-high 90s during the day, but lows in the 50s and 60s. But we did have several days of high 70s low 80s---SO NICE! But honestly, you adjust, so low 90s are actually not that bad. And, sure beats 14 inches of snow that some of the Idahoans experienced the other week!
We were "SPOOKED" the other night by the McQueen ward ghost. It came with a cute little poem and some Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, which are almost gone. Tonight we get to SPOOK some unsuspecting ward members.
The kids went to the doctor yesterday and both got shots. Talmage is miserable today, with fever and whiny clingy-ness. This is the first time either child has had a noticeable shot reaction. Poor baby.
Daniel is currently working his first Saturday since starting work here. He gets to go in from 8-Noon about 2 Saturdays a month. Not bad, though, considering he only works M-Th from 8-5 with a two hour lunch. Yes, we're SPOILED!
